Research Data Centre Brown Bag Series presentation by Dr. Anabel Quan-Haase and Ph.D. Candidate Michael Haight, Dec 12, 2012 at Western University. Revisiting the Digital Divide: Findings from the 2010 Canadian Internet Use Survey". This study revisits the digital divide by investigating the extent to which Canadians are connected to the Internet. Our findings demonstrate that access to the Internet reflects existing inequalities in society with income, education, rural/urban, age, gender and immigration status all affecting adoption patterns. Further, the results show that inequality in access to the Internet is now being mimicked in the skill level of users who are connected.
